Review and approval of November 2023 minutes:
Motion to approve: Renee Nolan, seconded by Robin Hoglund
Discussion:
Learning Academy and Instructional Coaches: Tashina Calverley and Gordon Garrett presented data on retention of new educators in the nation compared to LHS and LCSD.
LHS is seeing a higher retention rate than national data.
Data was presented how this in part is due to instructional coaching.
Review
Retake/Redo and Deadline Plans:
Principal Guymon talked about implementing the Retake/Redo and Deadline plan,
information has been sent home to parents twice
students learned about the process over the past two days
Time was given for council members to address questions
Discussion
Principal Guymon reviewed the projected carryover amount.
Members of the council had been asked previously to submit ideas to fund
Four items were suggested, it was decided all four items should be funded.
Robin Hoglund motioned to approve and David Henderson seconded the motion and all members in attendance voted in the affirmative
As there were not enough parents in attendance to form a quorum, Chairperson Karlee Fryer sent the email below to council members to vote.
Jim Woolley and Jason Pond voted yay by email to carry the motion.
