Sophomores: GEAR UP Big Blue Journey summer camp has changed its name to Aggie Summit. The Grizz Center has all the information. Deadline to apply is April 15!

SENIORS:  The University of Utah will be visiting LHS on Monday, April 11th, during the lunch period.  They will be located in the lobby, so stop by and get your questions answered concerning registration, financing, scholarships, or any information on what the "U" has to offer you.

"ATTENTION ALL BOYS INTERESTED IN PLAYING BASKETBALL NEXT SEASON.  There is a meeting Wednesday April 13th at 8:15 a.m. in Coach Brown's room.  This is for current freshmen, sophomores and juniors.  We will discuss Team Camp, spring and summer basketball dates, open gyms, strength, and the expectations for the program.  ALL BOYS INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT NEXT SEASON ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND." 

USU is looking for FEMALE App Camp mentors from June 20-24th, with training the week of June 13-17. You must be 9th-12th grade, be creative, love technology and enjoy helping others. The pay is $200.

Amanda Repko, Miss Cache Valley 2016 needs our help. She is collecting shoes for Burkina Faso in Africa. All shoes collected will be given to people to wear or will be sold and the funds will be used to build farms, schools, and well. Miss Cache Valley is collecting ANY wearable shoes. Flip flops, high heels, sneakers, kid’s shoes, women’s shoes, and men’s shoes. We are collecting shoes in the box in the main office until April 15th.

Seniors, it's time to apply for Senior Scholar Award Medallions.  The medallions are worn at graduation.  Awards can be earned in English, math science, social studies, world languages, theater, music, and visual arts.  If you qualify, you get the medallion.  Applications for each area can be found on the school website, under the "Students" tab.  The applications should be turned in to the department chairs.  The deadline is Wednesday, April 20th.  If you have questions, see Mrs. Smart.  

Students you can sign up for Driver Education in the Office. The class will begin May 2nd. The cost is $125.00.

GEAR UP is sponsoring a 3 day summer camp called Aggie Summit from June 8th-10th at USU. This is only for students transitioning into 11th grade next year. Application information is available down in the Grizz Center and the deadline for applying is April 15 at 5:00 pm. We have a limited number of people we can take, so hurry and get your application in!

Pepperidge Farms Scholarship is for students planning on majoring in math, science, engineering, business, or pursue a technical certification.  Applications are available in the Student Center.

Ray P. Garrett Memorial Scholarship is available for students majoring in education or social work.  Applications and more information are available in the Student Center.

Applications for the Rulon Olsen Scholarship are available in the Student Center. This scholarship is intended for a first generation college student, a student with strong academic aptitude, and financial need.

Annelie Johnson Memorial Scholarship is available for students considering a career in a scientific discipline or field of study.  Information and applications are available in the Student Center.

The Allison Dunn Memorial Scholarship applications are available in the Student Center.  Applicants must carry a GPA of 3.0.  This scholarship amount is $1,200 and will be mailed directly to the college or university in which the recipient is enrolled.

The Community Foundation of Utah has 11 scholarships they are accepting applications for through April 15.  Scholarship and applications is available in the Student Center.

The 2016 Sons of Utah Pioneers High School Scholarship applications are available in the Student Center.  This is a $2,000 scholarship.  This scholarship focus is on students who have overcome adversity and need monetary assistance in order to attend a university.

Applications for the Logan Rotary Club Scholarship to USU are available in the Student Center.  You must have a 3.5 GPA and an ACT score of 20.  This scholarship is valued at $2,500.

The Conway & Elaine Sonne Scholarship is for students who will be incoming freshmen at USU this fall. This scholarship is for $1,250 per semester for two semesters.  Application information is in the Student Center.

The African-American Leadership Award if for African-American students who will be incoming freshmen at USU in the fall of 2016.  This scholarship is for $900 towards tuition for the fall of 2016.   Applications are available in the Student Center.

The 2016 Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship is available online at application.horatialger.org. This is a $2,500 scholarship for students who are pursuing a career or technical certificate or degree.  This is intended to provide financial assistance to students who have a financial need.

Paul Mitchell School in Logan is pleased to announce the 2016 scholarship opportunity for prospective students.  If you are interested in a career in cosmetology, scholarship criteria and applications are available in the Student Center.
