  1. We are handing out 400 free white basketball t-shirts starting at 6:30
  2. We will have free pizza for students also starting at 6:30…first come, first serve
  3. There will be great half time entertainment with “The Jump Team” performance”


Please promptly produce your positive postcard picture to promote people pleasing performance. Participants should prepare a picture to be printed on a 5×7 postcard. Plans need to be presented to the Grizz Center by Jan. 22.

Today there will be a meeting for those interested in playing boys lacrosse at 2:45 in Brad Nelson’s room.

GEAR UP has a few spots left for a BATC visit this Thursday morning for two hours. Please stop by the Grizz Center TODAY if you would like to sign up to experience a career in heavy equipment operation/automated manufacturing.

We are also offering health/business and dental as well as a group to explore drafting/media design and automotive. Remember sophomores, you can begin to attend BATC in the summer of your junior year…FOR FREE! Come explore with us and prepare for your future…NOW!

Students interested in attending ACT prep may sign up in the office. Classes will begin on Tuesday the 19th.

Students:  Your schedule for 3rd term will be available online, we will not be printing out schedules as in the past.  See your 4th hour teacher for instructions on how to access your schedule.

Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous will be March 4-6th at Mountain Crest High School.  Anyone interested in participating in the Youth Cowboy Poetry Contest see Mr Andrus in room 318.

Students you can sign up for Driver Education in the Office. The class will begin January 18th. The cost is $125.00.

Have you purchased a yearbook? The price of the yearbook is $55. The deadline for purchasing a yearbook is January 15.


Scholarship and Award Opportunities

Most Utah colleges and universities have a December 1 deadline for their major scholarships. To ensure that you do not miss out on a scholarship, visit the website of the college or university you plan to attend and get the necessary information needed to apply for a scholarship It is to your advantage to start the scholarship process now..

The Quinney College of Natural Resources offers the Quinney Scholarship to 8 incoming freshman. It is a $6,000 scholarship for 4 years. Students who are interested in science and natural sciences are eligible. Apply   at: guide.

Logan High School Athletics and Utah State University have teamed up with the families and friends of Robert Lauriski, Brent Toolson and Stan Laub to create three scholarships for the benefit of LHS. The scholarships are for football, baseball, and basketball and participation is required in the sport for the scholarship for which you are applying. The $6,000 scholarships are for one academic year. More information is available in the Student Center.

The ACLU of Utah is pleased to announce their 2016 Youth Activist Scholarshipprogram. They will be offering two scholarships at $1,500 each. Applications and qualification information is in the Student Center.

If you are of Italian ancestry and a 2016 graduate of a Utah school, you are eligible for the Women’s Italian American Civic League Scholarship. Applications and requirement information is available in the Student Center.

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship information and applications are available in the Student Center. This scholarship provides tuition to 16 ATC and Universities in the state of Utah.

Information on the BATC Scholarship is now available. This scholarship is for a $1,000 tuition waiver to current seniors who will graduate from high school.   Applications are available in the Student Center.

Thain Scholars Scholarship information and application is available in the Student Center. This scholarship is for students enrolling at USU with a 3.5 GPA and plan to enroll in Language or Philosophy courses.

Applications for the Summer Citizen Scholarship are available in the Student Center. Applicants should demonstrate financial need, the potential for success, personal integrity, and academic achievement.   The award ranges from $500 – $2000.

Jiffy Lube announces their Utah Jiffy Lube Teen Drive Scholarship.   Scholarships range from $500 to $5,000. Application is done online. Information is available in the Student Center.
